We always need hands to help run the project on event days. Events are usually run on the last Saturday of each month (sometimes earlier if the last Saturday is during school holidays). We have a list of dates for this year to try and help you plan in advance. We open at 9 am and are generally done by 1 pm, so volunteers are needed between about 8:30 am and 1:30 pm. We need people to assist with the following roles:
- Registering children on our system
- Helping children to sort their recyclables correctly for weighing
- Weighing recyclables
- Capturing the weights on our system
- Loading recyclables onto the trailers
- Running the shop and capturing what the children spend on our system
- General crowd control
